About MakerBot Replicator Mini+

The new and revised MakerBot Replicator Mini+ has been revamped with a larger build volume, faster speed, and improved ease of use. The Mini+ features a 28% increase in size when compared to the original Replicator Mini. It’s been extensively tested for greater reliability thanks to key components being redesigned including the Z-stage, gantry system, and sturdy frame construction. Factory leveled and ready for easy 3D printing, the MakerBot Replicator Mini+ now runs 58% quieter than its predecessor. Thanks to its patented new Grip Surface, blue tape is not required as the new surface prevents warping and curling.

MakerBot has committed a vast amount of resources and time to ensure that the Mini+ provides a better 3D printing experience for the home, classroom, or office. The newly revised powder coated steel frame, combined with rigid ABS plastic, allows for less vibration, noise, and enhanced extrusion accuracy. All internal subsystems within the printer’s design have been carefully thought out in order to better serve the entry level desktop 3D printer market. Thanks to its redesign, the unit has become stiffer overall so that printer head motion is smoother and quieter.

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ incorporates a single swappable Smart Extruder+ unit which has been extensively tested for over 380,000 hours of print performance across multiple facilities. The result is more precise layer resolution down to 100 microns. Featuring an increased build volume that measures 4” x 5” x 5”, the Mini+ significantly expands print sizing options. The onboard 640×480 resolution camera doubles the image capture capability of the original model, allowing users to view and analyze their prints in real-time. The Mini+ is equipped with upgraded NEMA stepper motors that yield a significant improvement over the original Replicator Mini model.

  • The Replicator Mini+ can utilize either USB or Wi-Fi capability in order to connect to the unit and initiate 3D prints.
  • To streamline workflow, the Mini+ is factory leveled and reduces maintenance time for users.
  • Choose from an array of MakerBot PLA filaments or use material from 3rd party manufacturers.

Additional Tech Specs

    • The new 4” x 5” x 5” build volume is the result of an increased overall size of the unit, now measuring 11.6” x 13.8” x 15”.
    • The Replicator Mini+ uses MakerBot’s Smart Extruder+ technology which allows you to quickly change out extruders, easily diagnose issues, and receive automated warnings in the event of print issues which pause the unit until diagnosed.
