The Leapfrog Xeed allows for building digital models of your desired print using a wireless connection, allowing flexibility in terms of placement in your office or workshop. Streamlining the print process, Xeed works with a built in PerfectLevel™ system which automatically calibrates the construction tray (bed) before print jobs. Additionally, strong slicing software combined with QuickLoad (a streamlined way of loading new filament in the machine) ensures minimal downtime & hassle in between prints.
Per the standard in Leapfrog printer design, the Xeed comes equipped with a dual extruder system. This allows for advanced printing techniques that satisfy both creative and structural needs. MAXX filaments include exotic varieties of Leapfrog supported material, helping you create models with character and flair – without sacrificing sturdiness or ease of use. One extruder can handle your primary print at 10 micron layer resolution, while the other seamlessly generates a support structure that ensures a successful build of your model.
The Leapfrog Xeed also has one of the largest build volumes among competitor printers. It supports a whopping 20.8 liters of print space, meaning you can test your creativity and engineering talent to the fullest. Printing takes place safely behind a closed glass & steel interior, which keeps the print environment at suitable (and most important, consistent) temperature. The heated construction bed also ensures full temperature control over the base of the model – allowing you to eliminate warping and cracking during cool periods.

Operational print speed is also variable, with with speeds spanning 30-180mm/s.
The Leapfrog Xeed utilizes the powerful Simplify 3D software for slicing (included), and is compatible with modern Operating Systems (Windows 7, Mac OS X, Linux Ubuntu). Acceptable file types include STL or G-code.
