About Fuel3D 3D Scanner »

Notes from the Workshop:
Boasting a sleek steering wheel design, Scanify 3D Scanner is ergonomically friendly and comfortable to use. The LED target lights will help keep your positioning stable and provide smooth and efficient operation while indoors or outdoors.

Boasting space-age design, the SCANIFY is a pre-calibrated handheld 3D scanner with built-in photometric imaging capable of capturing 3D images in 0.1 seconds. The three LED guide lights help users target object details and will capture a full spectrum of color in 350 micron resolution. The SCANIFY 3D Scanner packs versatility and is capable of working with non-reflective, highly textured, or natural objects as well as surfaces with flowing curves and contours. From human busts to stone sculptures, instantly capture an object with the touch of a trigger, employing a “point and shoot” technique while steadily rotating around an object’s position. Manufactured by FUEL3D, the SCANIFY 3D Scanner is perfect for product design, 3D printing, reverse engineering, or animation development. Using photometric technology instead of lasers allows the SCANIFY 3D Scanner to be a safe alternative for capturing human & animal scans.

Operationally similar to a digital camera, SCANIFY is held by both hands and 3D images are captured using the trigger buttons. Shaped like a race car steering wheel, the unit is pre-calibrated with a large scan area and fixed focus that captures objects up to 16” in diagonal size. The SCANIFY 3D Scanner works best for medium sized objects with smooth or continuous surfaces and curves, varying colors or textures, and opaque or dark finishes. The unit is tethered directly to a USB, where scans are instantly sent directly to a computer for processing. Equipped with two 3.5 megapixel cameras and three Xenon flash bulbs, SCANIFY is a robust device that utilizes the latest in stereoscopic technology and photometric image capturing.

SCANIFY operates at a maximum distance from the object of 18”. At only 1.2 lbs, the unit is easy to hold and provides smooth stability during scan capture. Xenon LED flashbulbs amplify surface characteristics during scanning, providing precise object details. The SCANIFY 3D Scanner is capable of accurate color characteristics that precisely reflect the object’s physical appearance. Offering a rapid workflow of under 10 minutes, users can create highly detail scans ready for 3D printing.

With the bundled Fuel3D Studio Starter software, post-processing becomes easy. Users can capture, view, and manipulate 3D scans with a variety of modes including crop, lighting adjustment, and resize. It’s ideal for users who want a worry-free scanner, allowing the software to perform automated processing and color image capture without worrying about settings.

Scanify includes a built-in tripod mount for hands free setup that accommodates ¼” – 20 UNC threaded tripod screws. The included scanner targets help offset movement during live scanning, allowing the unit to reference a relative position and orientation with respect to the target.

After a successful six-figure Kickstarter campaign in 2013, Fuel3D raised the bar for point-and-shoot capability with the full color 3D scanner SCANIFY. Widely used by consumers, professionals, and businesses, Fuel3D has set about creating a simple to use 3D scanner for beginners and veterans alike. Today they are backed by millions in private investment, propelling SCANIFY to retail and distribution sales across the globe.
