About the Flashforge Dreamer 3D Printer
The Flashforge Dreamer is a quality machine at introductory level pricing. It features dual extruders for printing with multiple materials (not normally seen on units at this price), as well as a fully enclosed print chamber – critical for tight control over printing and cooling temperatures.
An LED screen makes operation easy, in combination with optional USB or Wifi connection to the printer. The build volume is a modest 9.1″ x 5.9″ x 5.5″ – approximately 5 liters, nested inside the machine’s external dimensions of 12.6″ x 18.4″ x 15″. The dreamer is designed with a built in filament chamber – ensuring smooth flow of filament into the extruders, without external interference.
The print bed is heated (for improved base layer adhesion), and the Dreamer offers a variety of print resolutions – making it easy to select the right balance of speed and quality for every print. The Z axis precision is an impressive 2.5 microns, and the xy axis precision 11 microns. Layer resolution can be adjusted from 100 microns to 500 microns.
All told, the Dreamer is a very respectable unit in its price class. Dual extruders, a heated bed, and LED screen – all in a self contained unit that can be interacted with via USB or Wifi.
