About the Flashforge Creator Pro Dual Extrusion
The 2016 FlashForge Dual Extruder Creator Pro features upgraded components and a refined, user-friendly design. Its previous models have already made their mark in highly precise 3D printing that’s affordable for users and professionals alike. The Creator Pro’s frame is now more rigid than ever, integrated with all-new 10 mm Z-axis guide rods that can achieve smoother vertical motion and less vibration. Now with an aerospace grade, 6.3 mm aluminum build plate, the Creator Pro exhibits better heat distribution to eliminate warping. The 3D printer’s chamber, optimized for consistent air flow, is topped off with an injected molded polycarbonate top that helps to regulate internal air temperature. FlashForge has re-engineered their Creator Pro with additional components such as a dependable power supply, pre-installed doors, and large adjustment screws for better ergonomics.
Built with an extremely stiff, powder coated steel frame, the Creator Pro is surrounded by high quality PVC paneling. With larger spacing and print area, the Creator Pro’s overall 18.7” x 13.1” x 15.1” size allows for easier maneuvering within the chamber. The PC top cover is now a single piece as opposed to a four piece assembly that was included with previous models. FlashForge has also included new carry handles that make it easier to transport across desktops or worktables. With newly designed, pre-installed doors, you have wider access for print removal. From high quality screw components to updated stepper motors, the 2016 FlashForge Creator Pro maintains its design integrity while improving on its performance.
The Creator Pro’s power supply offers enhanced voltage control and is made by Delta, a leading manufacturer. Its dual extruder includes a new wiring scheme that’s designed to protect it from excessive wear and tear. Backed by an 8.9” x 5.8” x 5.9” build area, the Creator Pro can handle a wide variety of filaments including both PLA and ABS. Upgrade stepper motors offer highly accurate motion, resulting in even better layer placement than ever before. The Creator Pro has been integrated with a new 10 mm z-axis guide rod that helps to reduce vibration and improve on its highly accurate 100-500 micron resolution. The Creator Pro also features updated connectivity options including USB and SD card.
While FlashForge’s Creator Pro accommodates 1.75 mm ABS and PLA, it can handle a wide range of 3rd party filaments such as Nylon, PC, soluble, wood, and more. With external spool holders, users can choose from multiple spool sizes.
