3D Systems is thinking big with its CubePro 3D printer; designed for hobbyists and professionals who require serious prototyping performance. Reaching a massive 1080 cubic inch build area, the CubePro 3D printer features your choice of single, dual, or triple extruder assemblies. Capable of up to 70 micron resolution, it provides fast and accurate prints with an array of color and material possibilities. It handles PLA, ABS, and Nylon filaments while each cartridge’s smart sensor will detect misprints, jams, or run-outs. The sensors detect which type of material is being used and will automatically adjust print settings for optimal performance. Coupled with USB and Wi-Fi support, the CubePro 3D printer is a self-contained, controlled process environment that offers professional prototyping for offices or serious makers. With automatic leveling, users do not need to worry about manual calibration problems – the CubePro will automatically adjust the print bed for error-free operation.
The CubePro 3D printer is completely enclosed in order to protect prints from draft or temperature changes. With a heated glass build plate, the CubePro helps maintain consistent layer adhesion in order to prevent warping or curling. The instant-load cartridges preserve the life of filaments and provide enough material for 30-35 medium-sized prints. Made from a combination of high density plastic, durable metal, and aluminum, the CubePro is designed for vibration free operation and smooth motion translation.
Depending on the number of extruders, a maximum 11.2” x 9.06” x 10.6” build area is possible. Each extruder is durable enough for high temperature materials up to 280°C. The CubePro is compatible with both Windows and OS X operating systems with at least 2GB RAM and 2GHz multi-core processor speeds. With up to three extruders, the CubePro can print multiple colors or materials simultaneously.
CubePro users can choose from an inventory of up to 24 different colors built with proprietary cartridges that interact with the printer. The included Cube Pro software is intuitive and easy to use, provides custom configuration, manipulation tools, and built-in STL file verification to ensure that models are optimized for printability.
Additional Tech Specs
3D Systems has also added three different infill modes depending on the mechanical requirements of the model being printed. Users can decide on line, diamond, or honeycomb patterns in order to accommodate different strength characteristics for the object being 3D printed.
